Changes to Clinic protocols during the Coronavirus

  • Clinic Risk Assessment completed and mitigations put in place – ongoing process.
  • Establish clinical need for face to face (F2F) treatment via a phone call and offer telephone advice or video consultation, if this fails then consider F2F.
  • Individual patient risk assessment – Each patient to complete an online risk assessment form before each treatment – this will be sent along with your appointment confirmation and reminder emails.
  • It is required that you wear a mask. If you do not have one I will provide this for you.
  • Despite the above measures there remains a small risk of cross-contamination. I have been transparent about the risk assessment and protocols in place to allow you to make a decision on attendance. We each have our own risk that we are willing to accept.
  • I am keeping myself updated by regularly reviewing information from Public Health England, General Osteopathic Council (our regulatory body) and the Institute of Osteopathy (our professional body).
  • You should be aware that I am obliged to provide your contact details to PHE/NHS as part of their ‘Test and Trace’ protocols if requested. This will usually be if I am tested positive for Covid-19. i.e Corona trumps GDPR!
  • If you develop Covid symptoms within 2 days of your treatment please notify me. I will do the same.
  • I will be testing mine and my households temperature every morning.
  • When completing the patient risk assessment I ask that you consider your answer carefully to ensure that both you, me and my other patients are safe. You are required to read and complete the form before each visit. Failure to complete the form may mean that I am unable to treat you.
  • If you wake up with Covid symptoms on the day of your treatment please cancel your appointment. There will be no charge.
  • I will continue to have online bookings available but all the above still applies and I may ring you to discuss your clinical need before your appointment.
  • I have adjusted my prices to take account of increased costs and feel this is fair as I have not adjusted my prices in the last 5 years.
  • There may be a disruption to my ability to stay open if I need to self isolate and therefore your appointment may be cancelled at short notice. I will endeavour to provide you with recommendations for alternative clinics.
