Htw Saar offers students not only quality training, but also a variety of leisure and leisure activities on and off campus. Activities include an extensive sports program and a wide range of cultural activities such as student theatre groups, musical ensembles and choirs. The “Mensa” – the student refectory – is not only a popular place to eat, it is also a good place for students to meet. Sarrebruck also offers a wide range of cafes, bars and parks where students can relax. The ERASMUS registration certificate must be sent by the partner university to io@htwsaar.de no later than two weeks after the student returns. DFHI students are subject to the same conditions as students of htw saar. Htw saar plays a pioneering role among the highest colleges in Germany. Between 1989 and 1992, the pilot test of the Federal Federal Commission of the Lands for the promotion of applied research in the Fachhochschulen (SAFF – Stimulation of applied research in the Fachhochschulen) was carried out at the university. Since then, it has significantly strengthened its strengths in applied research, scientific and practical education and knowledge transfer.

Htw saar and the partner university are required to conclude an “apprenticeship agreement” before the start of the stay with the students, the apprenticeship contract for this purpose. The apprenticeship agreement describes the study stay program and defines the module for the learning phase abroad. It also contains provisions for the recognition of learning after a stay abroad. In order to create a place where students and staff can meet and create a sense of community, the sports department of htw saar, in collaboration with other universities in the region, offers a comprehensive sports program: from Aikido to Yoga. The htw saar library provides students with access to written and electronic sources of information. Each campus has its own library. The ERASMUS attendance certificate is an integral part of your stays abroad and your ERASMUS help and you will need to send a scan to outgoing@htwsaar.de shortly after you return from your partner university. The sector promoting study stays abroad is called ERASMUS SMS (Student Mobility for Studies).
