 What We Treat

Patients at the Datchet Osteopathic Clinic are treated with a combination of structural osteopathy and medical acupuncture (also known as dry needling).

The most common conditions treated at the clinic include back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain and nerve entrapment. The National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) have recently issued guidelines for the treatment of non-specific low back pain and recommend a course of manipulative treatment
 such as that performed by Osteopaths and/or a course of Acupuncture - also offered at this clinic.

Other common presenting problems include;
·        Headaches caused by restriction in the neck joints;
·        Elbow and hand pain caused by overuse of a computer 'mouse';
·        Hand and arm pain radiating from the neck;
·        Leg and foot pain radiating from the back;
·        Sports related injuries e.g. calf or hamstring strains, tennis or golfers elbow
·        Joint ligament strains - most commonly ankle or knee twisting injuries;
·        Arthritic knee pain in the elderly.
